package design

During this project, I learned how to apply visual standards across multiple products. Cat & Co.s identity is in direct contrast to the garish style of most cat products, and counterculture to the trend of embarrassing cat videos. Cat & Co. restores the reputation of cats, one box at a time. This box includes 3 samples of canned food, milk carton cat treats, and a travel-size lint roller.

Cat & Co. is proudly transparent—displaying their natural, healthy, & ethically-sourced ingredients. Their consumers are just as proud; which is why Cat & Co. brand draws inspiration from those times when cats were worshipped and admired. Eras like Art Nouveau (eg. la Chat Noir poster) and 1950’—think cat-eye glasses and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Cat-tongue pop tabs and milk cartons treats remind owners of when cats drank from fine china saucers. The art nouveau-inspired logo is sophisticated & sleek, while 50’s style colors, like the pop of red, make the brand playful.

If I could do it again, I would work to streamline the brand even further, being more considerate of type elements and visual hierarchies.
